Verity (2026)

★★

I feel like my problem with a lot of Colleen Hoover movies is the bug nuts propositions in the source material

Eight Legged Freaks (2002)

★★★

Aged shockingly well. There's progressive messages about consent, corporate greed, and gun safety (in rural Arizona no less) and an ahead-of-it's-time Alex Jones analog. If they'd used practical effects for the spiders and added a couple more kids on bikes, this easily could have become the Amblin-esk classic that it so clearly wanted to be.

You Can See Everything (2026)

★★★★★

This movie will make you question everything you think you know: Is Elizabeth Holmes guilty? Are we, for enjoying entertainment about her? Does Nathan Fielder ooze sexuality?

The Fish Don't Care When It Rains (2026)

★★½

Truly cannot believe that place is still open. Cool that it was edited and produced by a survivor - but do think it coulda used another editing pass or two

The Fate of the Furious (2017)

Erin: "But WHY does Charlize want to steal a nuke? What's her plan?" Me: "You're watching this movie wrong, Erin."

Sacrifice (2025)

★★

This movie can't decide whether it wants to be A24 art house horror or a Russos-esk comedy thriller, and it manages to grab some of the worst qualities of both.
